摘要
1981年,经中国教育部同意,美国康奈尔大学吴瑞教授发起了中美生物化学联合招生项目(ChinaUnited States Biochemistry Examination and Application Program,CUSBEA项目),该项目历经八届,先后派出400多名学生赴美国著名大学攻读生物科学博士学位。本文对这400多名学生的来源和赴美学习情况进行了详细的考察,并对他们的现状进行了统计,CUSBEA项目取得了巨大成功,对中美两国及世界生物医学领域做出了重大贡献。
In 1981,with the consent of the Ministry of Education of China,Professor Ray Wu of Cornell University initiated the China-United States Biochemistry Examination and Application Program(CUSBEA Program).With eight sessions,more than 400 students were dispatched to American top universities to pursue doctorates in biological sciences.In this paper,the author made a detailed study of these students on their origin and studies in America,and briefly summarized their current situation.The CUSBEA Program has achieved great success and made great contributions to the biomedical fields of China,the United States and the rest of the world.
