Literary sketches have the advantage of the first-hand information.But they may be affected by the political stance and the insufficient cognitive ability of recorders,or the limitation of transmission,causing the defects of related narration.Therefore,it's particularly important how to consider the value of historical notes dialectically and take appropriate measures to use them properly.Li Tao,a historian of the Southern Song Dynasty,his use of historical materials in historical writings can be regarded as a model.We can make a necessary conclusion on his successful experience,which can provide important reference and valuable enlightenment for descendants correct use of historical materials.
