Irrigation and Water Conservancy Construction in Western Anhui During the Period of The Republic of China

1912—1949年皖西地区有15年发生了旱灾。为应对旱灾,皖西地方社会对水利工程进行了一定程度的修治,农田水利建设取得了一些成就。但也存在着水利纠纷激烈、官方重视不够、经费投入不足、工程有计划无实施等问题。这些,在当今的水利建设中仍有借鉴价值。

There were 15 years of drought in western Anhui from 1912 to 1949.In order to deal with the drought,the local authority in western Anhui has carried on some repair and treatment to the water conservancy project to a certain extent,and some achievements have been made in the construction of farmland and water conservancy.However,there exited some problems,such as the fierce dispute of water conservancy,the insufficient attention of the government,the insufficient investment in funds and lack of implementation of planned projects.These still have reference value in today's water conservancy construction.
