Tea Spread to the West and the Difference Between Chinese and British Tea Cultures

茶起源于中国,并在漫长的岁月里形成了具有中国特色的茶文化。十六世纪以来,茶从中国及周边西传,在欧洲形成了以英国为代表的茶文化。文章通过对茶叶西传过程地探寻,试图比较中英茶文化的差异,旨在探求不同文化背景下茶文化形成的内在因素。

Tea originated from China and formed a tea culture with Chinese characteristics in the long years.Since the 16th century,tea has spread from China and its surrounding areas to the west and formed a tea culture represented by Britain in Europe.By exploring the history of tea spreading in the west and comparing the differences between Chinese and English tea cultures,this paper aims to explore the internal factors of tea culture formation under different cultural backgrounds.
