The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 will have a huge impact on the world economy in 2020,with significant regional variations in the extent of the impact across the world. In the face of the epidemic, governments or economies have taken unprecedented response measures with varying degrees of effectiveness. While the global economy is experiencing a fragile and uneven recovery, the post-financial crisis conditions of low growth, low interest rates, low inflation and high debt, high asset prices and high income inequality have been further reinforced. The uncertainties inherent in the evolution of the epidemic, the resilience, policy trends and spillover effects of major economies, global and regional economic governance and the development of major powers in cooperation and competition have,in a significant sense, determined the fundamentals of the world economy in 2021.If the China-Eu Bilateral Investment Treaty is signed and the RCEP is implemented,at least in the field of trade and investment, the dawn of world economic recovery will be brighter.
