Human adenovirus subgroup F(AdVF)gastroenteritis(GE)occurs throughout the year,with a peak in the summer and predominantly affects children younger than 4 years[1,2].Co-infection with other viruses,mainly rotavirus(RV)and norovirus(NoV),is common[2].During 2016/2017,150 stool samples from 150 children<3 years,presented with vomiting and diarrhoea,were tested for AdV and other viruses in our region.Stool samples were tested for AdV DNA genome by polymerase chain reaction(PCR)testing and by reverse transcription real time PCR of RNA genome of other viruses[RV,NoV,Sapovirus(SaV)and astrovirus(AsV)].
