教育国际交流对中国“一带一路”海外并购的影响--基于孔子学院和来华留学教育的实证研究

The Impact of International Education Exchanges on China’s Overseas Mergers & Acquisitions on “One Belt One Road” Countries:Evidence from Confucius Institute and Foreign Student Education in China

孔子学院和来华留学教育与企业"走出去"都是"一带一路"倡议的重要组成部分,认识孔子学院和来华留学教育与企业海外并购的关系对助力教育国际交流和中国企业"走出去"具有重要意义。本文以2013-2018年中国在"一带一路"沿线国家企业并购面板数据为样本,重点研究了孔子学院和来华留学教育与企业海外并购的内在联系。实证结果显示,孔子学院和来华留学教育均对中国企业海外并购具有显著的促进作用,且孔子学院的促进效应要优于孔子课堂。进一步,文章发现孔子学院和来华留学教育的发展有助于提升"一带一路"沿线国家人力资本水平,缩小国家文化差异以及推动双边友好关系的建立,进而促进中国企业海外并购。文章发现的结论对于推动教育国际交流更好助力中国企业"走出去"具有重要意义。

As important components of the "One Belt One Road" initiative, understanding the relationship between Confucius Institute, foreign student education in China and overseas mergers and acquisitions is of great significance to help international exchanges of education and Chinese companies. This paper is based on 2013-2018 China’s mergers & acquisitions panel data on 61 "One Belt One Road" countries to find out the internal connection between Confucius Institute, foreign student education in China and China’s overseas mergers & acquisitions. According to the research, it is found that Confucius Institute and foreign student education in China have a significant role in promoting China’s overseas mergers & acquisitions, and Confucius Institutehave a more positive effect than Confucius Classroom. Furthermore, we find that the development of Confucius Institute and foreign student education in China can help improve the human capital level of countries along the "One Belt One Road", reduce cultural differences between countries, and promote the establishment of bilateral friendly relations, then promote overseas mergers and acquisitions. The conclusions found in the article are of great significance for promoting the international exchanges of education to better help Chinese companies to be globalized.
