With the continuous maturity of 5G communication technology,the article analyzed the characteristics and advantages of 5G technology,and proposed a video surveillance system which is based on 5G network in smart substation,and the functional composition,networking scheme and system characteristics of the system are introduced in detail.The system is based on 5G network technology,realized functions such as remote image collection and realtime video monitoring in the work of the substation power system.
