摘要 奥格布(John Uzo Ogbu,1939—2003)是美国最有影响力的教育人类学家之一,他在学界是一位影响巨大、富有创造力、多产的作者。Ogbu在研究少数民族教育的过程中,深入探讨了社会阶层、族群差异、文化模式、学习态度等多种因素对少数民族学生学业成就的影响,提出阶层化社会理论、文化—生态理论、文化模式理论、民间成功理论等。奥格布使用学校教育民族志的方法研究少数民族教育问题,取得了丰硕的成果,他的著作《一个富裕郊区的美国黑人学生》能够为研究中国少数民族教育问题提供有价值的参考。 John Uzo Ogbu(1939-2003)is one of the most influential educational anthropologists in the United States.In the process of studying ethnic minority education,Ogbu deeply discusses the influence of social class,ethnic differences,cultural model,learning attitude and other factors on the academic achievement of ethnic minority students,and puts forward the theories of hierarchical society,culture ecology,cultural model and folk success.In particular,Ogbu has made fruitful achievements in the study of ethnic minority education by using the method of school education ethnography.His book Black American Students in an Affluent Suburb——A Study of Academic Disengagement provides valuable reference for the study of ethnic minority education in China.
