Artlessness and Elegance:The Variation in Creative Vision from Zhang Xie Zhuang Yuan to The Story of The Lute

作为南戏的早期作品,《张协状元》比“南戏之祖”《琵琶记》面市早将近一个世纪。二者虽然年代相距甚远,但在内容上却有着某些相似之处:二戏均为负心汉与苦情女悲欢离合的故事。但是,后者辅助性人物的功能有了发展与转变,作者的主观创作目的与作品的客观效果产生不可预计的背离。因此,《张协状元》是《琵琶记》的先声,《琵琶记》是《张协状元》的变奏。

Zhang Xie Zhuang Yuan,the earliest work of southern opera,was published nearly a century earlier than The Story of The Lute,the ancestor of southern opera.Although the two are far apart in years,they have some similarities in content:the two operas are the stories about the unfortunate girl and the heartless man.However,the auxiliary character's function in The Story of The Lute has developed and changed.The author's subjective creation goal and the work's objective effect have the unexpected deviation.Therefore,Zhang Xie Zhuang Yuan is the forerunner of The Story of The Lute,while The Story of Lute is the variation of Zhang Xie Zhuang Yuan.
