How to Present Chinese Experience in Literary Writing--On Mo Yan and Jia Pingwa’s Novel Creation in the New Century

莫言、贾平凹新世纪以来的多部长篇小说均从个体的生存经验出发,将百年来中国的现实经验、历史记忆、文化镜像以小说的形式呈现出来,这种异于政治学、经济学与社会学意义上的中国经验书写,显示了文学独特的价值与力量。这些小说以诗性思维建构中国经验的整体隐喻;多采用复调或多重文本的小说形式呈现中国经验的复杂性与多层次性。同时在存在论或生存论的意义上表现了对现实生活真相追问的努力。

Many novels of Mo Yan and Jia Pingwa since the new century have written the realistic experience,historical memory and cultural image of China in the past hundred years in the form of novels from the individual's living experience.This kind of Chinese experience writing,which is different from political science,economics and sociology,shows the unique value and strength of literature.These novels construct the whole metaphor of Chinese experience with poetic thinking.They mostly adopt polyphony or multi text novels to present the complexity and multi-level of Chinese experience.At the same time,they also show their efforts to inquire the truth of real life in the sense of ontology or existentialism.
