Research on Middle Powers Abroad and its Enlightenment to China

当前,随着中等强国在国际事务中的地位和作用持续提升,国外在相当范围内掀起一股中等强国的研究热潮。回顾和总结国内关于中等强国研究的进展与成就,可以发现:虽然取得一些成绩,但也存在一定的问题和不足。因此,通过学习、借鉴和利用其他国家中等强国研究的经验,推动中等强国研究与中国外交工作的融通互益,具有重要价值。

At present,with the continuous improvement of the status and role of middle powers in international affairs,the research of middle powers become popular abroad.With the constant diplomatic practice,the nature of middle-power ideas continuously development,and the environment of international system historically changes,which gradually forms the nation type with specifically referring to frequently using some kind of foreign policy and certain international activities,depicting the emerging independent strategic image.Reviewing and summarizing the progress and achievements of the research on the middle powers in China,we can find that some achievements have been made,but there are still some shortages and deficiencies.Therefore,we should learn from and make use of the experience of other countries in the study of middle powers,and promote the study of middle powers to benefit Chinese’s diplomatic and academic work.
