Gaodu ancient town,located in the northeast of Jincheng,Shanxi Province,is a famous histori⁃cal and cultural town with a long history,simple folk customs,rich resources and a large number of material and cultural heritage.This paper analyzes and summarizes the landscape pattern and architectural types of Ga⁃odu ancient town in detail,and then puts forward relevant protection and utilization strategies,hoping to play a certain role in promoting the future development and inheritance of historical context of the ancient town while studying the architectural characteristics of the ancient town.
