语料库视角下中外农业科技期刊英文摘要中立场标记语使用情况对比分析——以《热带作物学报》为例

A comparative study on the use of stance markers in English abstract of agricultural scientific journals in China and abroad under the perspective of corpus:Taking Chinese Journal of Tropical Crops as an example

【目的】提高我国农业科技期刊英文摘要写作的规范性与准确性,提升我国农业科技期刊英文摘要写作质量,促进我国农业科技期刊国际化并提升国际影响力。【方法】自建中外农业科技期刊英文摘要语料库,以中文期刊《热带作物学报》与国外知名热带农业领域科技期刊英文摘要为语料库来源,比较分析中文期刊英文摘要与国际期刊英文摘要在“研究结果”与“研究讨论”立场标记语使用方面的异同。【结果】在“研究结果”语步中,中文期刊作者对各个立场标记语使用频率较国际期刊作者较少;在“研究讨论”语步中,中文期刊作者对增强语的使用频率较国际期刊作者较多。不同学术文化背景下,学者在撰写学术论文英文摘要时表达立场的强度和方式都有所不同。【结论】中文期刊作者应对标国际标准,加强立场标记语的学习使用能力,符合国际科技期刊论文摘要写作范式,努力提高中文科技期刊中、英文摘要的写作质量。

[Purposes]This paper aims to improve the normalization,accuracy,and quality of English abstract writing for agricultural scientific journals in China,thus promoting the internationalization of agricultural scientific journals in China and enhancing their international influence.[Methods]The corpora for English abstracts from Chinese Journal of Tropical Crops and those from renowned journals on tropical agriculture journals at abroad were respectively established to analyze the difference in the use of stance markers in"Results"and"Discussion"moves in English abstracts between journals from China and abroad.[Findings]Various kinds of stance markers are used less frequently in the"Results"move in English abstracts of the Chinese journal than in those of the international journals,but the use of boosters in Chinese journals is more than that in the international journals in the"Discussion"move.With different academic and cultural backgrounds,scholars express their standpoints in English abstracts in different intensities and ways.[Conclusions]In accordance with the corresponding international standards on English abstract writing for journals,Chinese scholars should strengthen the skills in stance marker utilization to improve the quality of English abstract in Chinese journals.
