Professor’s Sun’s Experience on Health Preservation Using the Combination of Diet and Moxibustion Treatment after Chemotherapy

The immunity and original qi of tumor patients are decreased during chemotherapy,and Professor Sun advocates the combined application of diet and moxibustion to treat this condition.Focusing on the spleen and stomach,cultivating spleen to strengthen the healthy qi,tranquilizing the mind and strengthening the original qi are important treatment principles in practice.Dieting guided by the principles of flavor and taste differentiation,pattern and constitution differentiation could alleviate the common adverse reactions caused by chemotherapy.Featured by cold expelling and dampness eliminating,middle energizer warming and depression relieving,moxibustion treatment could relieve anxiety and improve visceral function.The combination of diet and moxibustion could improve patients’quality of life and prolong the survival rate.
