喘证首见于《黄帝内经》,主病之脏在肺,分外感和内伤2种成因,在外感者治肺,在内伤者治肾,六经辨证是用于外感病辨证论治的一种辨证方法。太阳主一身之表,为诸经藩篱,外邪袭表,太阳首当其冲,是外感病的早期阶段,卫气为寒气所束,气机内郁,冲逆犯肺,发为喘息;阳明以热证、实证发病居多,热邪炽盛上传于肺经而发为喘;太阳病未解内传入里,喘证在表时,若未及时治疗,可传至半表半里即少阳喘证。无论哪一经受邪,只要影响到气机的升降出入都可出现喘息的症状。喘证不但是肺系证候,其他脏腑病变也可影响于肺而发作,三阳经辨治喘证是对喘证辨治的一种方法,对喘证发生的特点、发病过程中的各种表现进行分析,来确定正确的治则,从而用药,临床施治时要具体问题具体分析,脉证合参,掌握其不同的预后转归。
