The Oyster

胶东的海产品中,海蛎子是最大众化的海鲜之一。海蛎子,学名"牡蛎",南方人称之为"蚝"。在我国,北起鸭绿江,南到海南岛,沿海皆有牡蛎生长。明朝的李时珍认为:蚌蛤之属,皆有胎生卵生,独此化生,纯雄无雌,故得"牡"名,曰"蛎"曰"蚝",言其粗大也。
