A place where you live makes a man who you are.The distinctive natural conditions of Gannan mountainous areas make the Hakka people there good at producing bamboo wares with unique traditional characteristics.These bamboo wares reflect the wisdom of Hakka people,and represent the designing culture of the Hakka.The aesthetic ideas contained in these bamboo wares are also the expression of Hakka people s rustic ideas about the nature.The paper explores the design characteristics of the Gannan Hakka bamboo wares and the reasons for the characteristics from category,material,craftsmanship,and social functions of the bamboo wares.
