摘要
为比较概要写作任务和句子翻译任务对英语学习者即时词汇习得和延时记忆的相对有效性,选取106名英语学习者随机分配到两组任务中,并接受附带习得词汇的词义辨认和词义产出的即时和延时测量。研究发现,在即时和延时测试中,两类任务在词义辨认和词义产出知识习得方面没有显著性差异。在即时测试中,两组学习者的词义辨认知识习得均好于词义产出知识习得。在延时测试中,概要写作组的词义辨认和词义产出知识习得没有显著性差异,句子翻译组的词义辨认知识习得则好于词义产出知识习得。
This article compares the relative efficacy of summary writing and sentence translation on EFL learners'immediate vocabulary acquisition and retention.106 EFL learners were randomly assigned to one of the tasks,and were subsequently tested on the vocabulary recognition and production on the immediate and delayed tests.No differences were found between the two tasks in vocabulary recognition or production on both tests.On the immediate test,the learners on each task performed significantly better in vocabulary recognition than in vocabulary production.On the delayed test,the summary writing group demonstrated no difference between vocabulary recognition and production,while the sentence translation group showed more vocabulary recognition than vocabulary production.
