轻量级UPF N4接口开放性技术研究与应用

Research and Application of Open Technology of Lightweight UPF N4 Interface

在阐述5G核心网架构与UPF网元的功能,以及N4接口开放在5G赋能垂直行业方面的重要影响的基础上,重点说明了运营商在推进轻量级UPF N4接口与5G核心网对接验证方面所做的工作,从技术层面证明了N4接口开放的可行性,进而说明了3种面向行业的5G应用部署模式,并结合实际案例进行分析。最后针对当前存在的问题,提出了在推进N4接口开放层面的工作展望,推动UPF服务化能力进一步释放,助力5G赋能垂直行业。

Based on the description of the 5G core network architecture and the functions of UPF network elements,as well as the important impact of the N4 interface openness on the 5G-enabled vertical industries,this paper focuses on the promotion of operators to verify the connection between the lightweight UPF N4 interface and the 5G core network.The feasibility of the N4 interface openness has been proved from the technical level,and three industry-oriented 5G application deployment modes are further illustrated with the combination of actual case analysis.Finally,for the current problems,the prospects for advancing the opening level of the N4 interface are proposed to promote the further release of UPF service-oriented capabilities and help 5G empower vertical industries.
