医院暴力与医务人员抑郁症状的关系

Relationship between hospital violence and depressive symptoms among medical staff

目的探讨医院暴力与医务人员抑郁症状的关系,为提高医务人员心理健康水平提供理论依据。方法2016年8月至10月,从辽宁省3个城市的7家医院随机抽取1300名医务人员进行问卷调查,内容包括一般情况问卷、工作场所暴力量表和抑郁自评量表,回收有效问卷1032份。应用逻辑回归分析医院暴力对医务人员抑郁症状的影响。结果医务人员遭受医院暴力的比例为69.4%,抑郁症状比例为67.5%。月收入和医疗卫生法律法规培训是抑郁症状的保护性因素,躯体攻击、情感虐待、语言性骚扰和躯体性骚扰是抑郁症状的危险因素。结论医院暴力严重影响医务人员心理健康,应引起医院管理者及相关部门的重视。

Objective To explore the relationship between hospital violence and depressive symptoms experienced by medical staff in order to provide a theoretical basis for improving their mental health.Methods A total of 1300 medical staff were selected from 7 hospitals in 3 cities in Liaoning province,between August and October 2016.Questionnaires were administered to medical staff,included those relating to personal characteristics,the Workplace Violence Scale,and the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale(CES-D).A total of 1032 valid questionnaire responses were used for data analysis.The effects of hospital violence and depressive symptoms were explored using logistic regression analysis.Results Among participants,69.4%reported an experience of hospital violence,and the prevalence of depressive symptoms was 67.5%among medical staff.Steady monthly income and hospital violence-related laws and regulations,as well as training in handling these situations,were protective factors for the occurrence of depressive symptoms.Furthermore,physical assault,emotional abuse,verbal sexual harassment,and physical sexual assault were considered risk factors for medical staff.Conclusion Experiences of hospital violence seriously impact medical staff’s mental health.Accordingly,managers and relevant hospital departments should investigate ways to reduce this risk.
