“顾绣”之名与意涵流变

Appellation of“Gu Embroidery”and Evolution of Artistic Connotations

民国二十五年(1936),徐蔚南著《顾绣考》出版。其开宗明义:"上海顾氏以明嘉靖三十八年进士顾名世而始著称。名世曾筑园于今九亩地露香园路,穿池得一石,有赵文敏手篆‘露香池’三字,因以名园。(露香园路即纪念此名园也。)故世称其家刺绣为露香园顾绣,或顾氏露香园绣,或简称为露香园绣。"

This article cites historical documents and contemporary research findings,refers to material objects handed down from the ancient times,and makes textual research on the origin and meaning of such terms as"Gu Embroidery","Gu Embroidery of Luxiangyuan"and"Luxiangyuan Style".Moreover,this article elucidates and analyzes appearance and characteristics of Gu Embroidery in different stages of invention,transformation and inheritance before 1949,and reviews semantic interpretations of"Gu Embroidery"in various dimensions.
