Spatial planning and the demands of the energy transition

托马斯·赫尔德是德国波鸿鲁尔大学地球科学学院地理研究所的常务董事。除了管理工作,同时还进行景观生态学和空间规划研究。当下的能源转型将生态问题与规划结合起来,为空间科学——地理学引入了新的研究问题。他将与费尔德·霍夫教授一同筹备《Standort》杂志的特刊,针对空间规划领域的从业者,涉及能源转型的各类应用层面。

Thomas Held is the managing director of the Institute of Geography at the Ruhr University Bochum. Besides his management tasks his fields of work are landscape ecology and spatial planning. The ongoing energy transition joins ecological questions with planning tasks and introduces new scientific questions for Geography as a spatial science. Together with Prof. Feld Hoff he is going to edit a volume for the journal "Standort", aiming at practitioners in the field of spatial planning. The various contributions will deal with applied aspects of the energy transition.
