Vernacular Homophone of Guiping in Guangxi

桂平市是位于广西壮族自治区东南部的一个县级市,桂平白话是城区内主要的交际语言。基于田野调查发现,桂平市区白话的音系包括声母20个、韵母87个、声调8个,在描写声韵调系统的同时,结合词汇调查记录了详细的同音字汇,以展示桂平市区白话的语音全貌。

Guiping city is a county-level city in the southeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,which belongs to Guigang city of Guangxi.Guiping Vernacular is the main communicative language in the urban area,whose phonetic system consists of 20 initials,85 vowels and 8 tones.As far as the current research situation is concerned,there is no detailed investigation and description of the vernacular phonetic system in Guiping,so it has the value of further research.Based on the field investigation,this paper describes the system of vernacular tone and rhyme in Guiping urban area,and records the detailed homophone vocabulary in combination with the lexical survey,in order to show the phonetic panorama of vernacular in Guiping s urban area.
