Breeding of a New Bitter Gourd Cultivar Chunxiu

春秀苦瓜是以B2为母本,BZ34为父本杂交配制育成的苦瓜新品种。植株生长势强,早中熟,第一雌花节位8节左右,雌花节率高,连续结果能力强。果实中棒形,果皮白绿色,珍珠瘤,瘤粒饱满,发亮,果长25 cm左右,果粗7 cm左右,单果质量400 g左右,肉质脆,苦味中等,果实硬度好,商品性佳,抗病、抗逆性强,每667 m2产量5000 kg左右。

Chunxiu is a new bitter gourd cultivar bred by crossing B2 as female parent and BZ34 as male parent.It is a medium-early maturing cultivar and grows vigorously.The first female flower sets about 8th node,and the female flower node rate is high and the ability of continuous fruiting is strong.The fruit is rods-shaped,with white green skin,pearl nodule,plump and shiny nodules,and about 25 cm in length,7 cm in transverse diameter,400 g in weight.The flesh is crisp,and the bitterness is moderate.The commodity quality is good,and the disease resistance is strong.The yield is about 5000 kg/667 m2.
