The Fatimid Empire in The Reign of Al-Hakim

哈基姆为法蒂玛王朝第六任哈里发,在历史上极富争议。哈基姆对内加强集权,进行政治宗教改革,试图缓和社会矛盾,提升国家实力,但却使社会秩序崩坏,意识形态混乱;对外积极进取,取得一定成果,但却功亏一篑。在位末期出现的极端宗教运动更是让整个国家意识形态陷入混乱。本文以哈基姆时期的社会背景为基础,哈基姆实行的政策为切入点,探讨哈基姆做法的因果及其产生的影响。

Al-Hakim,the sixth caliph of the Fatimid Empire,is a very controversial figure in history.He strengthened power centralization,carried out the political and religious reform,tried to ease social contradictions and enhance the national power,but the social order collapsed and ideological confusion was prevailing.He tried eagerly to expand his territory,made some progress,but finally failed.At the end of his reign,the extreme religious movement threw the ideology of the whole country into total confusion.Based on the social background of Al-Hakim reign and the policies implemented by Al-Hakim,this paper discusses the cause and effect of Al-Hakim's practice and its impact.
