盐城文化是海洋文明、淮河文明和长江文明数千年融合的结果,是大批移民带来的吴楚文化、中原文化与当地文化融合发展的结果。盐城文化经历了孕育、形成、发展、繁盛、转型的过程,形成了富有特色的海盐文化、水利文化、淮剧文化和新四军文化,始终呈现平民化和兼融南北的特征,蕴涵不畏苦难和爱乡报国的文化性格。濒河临海的地理区位、南北汇聚的移民、尚智崇文的进取精神是盐城文化形成、发展与传承的主要因素。

Yancheng culture is the result of thousands of years of integration of marine civilization,Huai River civilization and Changjiang River civilization.It is also the result of the integration of Wu and Chu States culture,Central China culture and local culture brought by a large number of immigrants.It has gone through the development process of gestation,formation,development,prosperity and transformation.It has formed the distinctive sea salt culture,water conservancy culture,Huai Opera culture and New Fourth Army culture.It has always shown the characteristics of populism and integration of north and south cultures,braving hardship,patriotism and serving the country.The geographical location,which is near the river and the sea,the immigrants from all parts of China,and the enterprising spirit are the main causes for the formation,development and inheritance of Yancheng culture.
