《板桥集·家书》共收录十六封郑板桥写给其堂弟郑墨的家书,语言通俗、感情真挚、思想丰富,为后人称颂至今,是了解郑板桥生平的重要史料。家书中蕴含的文学主张同样值得关注,郑板桥强调诗歌的独抒性灵和现实性,提倡“沉着痛快”的审美趣味,提出“理明词畅、经世致用”的文章评判标准,在当时有一定的影响。

Zheng Banqiao was a famous painter and poet in Qing Dynasty.His 16 letters written to his cousin are the important historical materials for the study on his life and literary ideas,the language of which are concise,emotional,and insightful.He advocated expressiveness and practicality,the aesthetic taste of“being frank and straightforward”and put forward the evaluation standard of clarity of thought,fluency in language and practicality in life,which was influential in history.
