摘要
唐·德里罗的后9·11小说《坠落的人》(Falling Man,2007)以非线性叙事为特点,生动地展现了一幅恐怖袭击给人们带来创伤的群像图。德里罗的叙事技巧深受影视作品中的蒙太奇手法的影响。将蒙太奇手法与文学作品相结合,分析唐·德里罗如何在《坠落的人》中使用三种不同的蒙太奇手法进行视觉叙事,探讨属于视觉艺术门类的蒙太奇手法应用于小说创造后产生的艺术效果。研究发现,该小说通过蒙太奇手法,丰富了叙事空间,增强了读者直观感受,并提高了审美价值。
As one of Don DeLillo’s post-9/11 novels, Falling Man is featured by a non-linear narration, which vividly shows a picture of group trauma caused by a terrorist attack. DeLillo’s narrative skills are deeply influenced by montage techniques in visual artistic works. This article analyzes how Don DeLillo used three different types of montage techniques in the visual narrative of Falling Man, and to explore the artistic effect of montage techniques in the creation of this novel. It is concluded that the montage techniques employed in the novel not only enrich the narrative space of the novel and help readers to visualize the story, but also enhance the aesthetic value of the novel.
