As a combination of the wisdom of all nationalities,China’s traditional culture is a treasure of the human civilization.At present,our country attaches great importance to the traditional culture.The wisdom of our ancestors has become the source of inspiration for many artistic creation and design,among which the five elements theory has a far-reaching influence.Everything is the division of species attributes,and the transformation and change of species attributes reveal the internal relationship between objects.In the design of leather bags,practical value and spiritual value should always be put in the first place.Therefore,this paper expounds the origin of the five elements theory,analyzes the symbolic characteristics of the five elements theory in detail,and puts forward the specific application of the five elements theory in the design of leather bags,hoping to provide some valuable reference in the design of leather bags.
