How should one represent the ways Minzu policies have been implemented and society developed in minority areas with the help of oral ethnographic film The ethnographic film“Longzhou History:Narratives on Minzu Work and Social Development in Pingwu,Sichuan”attempts to respond to the question in a visual anthropological way.Through the micro-sample of oral presentation of the social development of national minorities,making use of the merits of non-textual orality,with‘conspiracy’between bodily gestures,facial expressions,intonations,and situational settings,the film communicates vividly connotations,reconstructs social memories,and unfolds a landscape in which Minzu policies are practiced as well as development in politics,economy and culture in Pingwu County in the past 70 years.Thus it has both academic and practical significance.
