城市规模与劳动力工资议价

摘要 文章研究了城市规模与劳资双方工资议价能力之间的关系。使用2017年流动人口调查数据、城市统计年鉴,运用双边随机边界法计算每个城市内每个劳动力的议价能力,并用回归和匹配法探索城市规模和议价能力的关系。研究发现:从较小规模城市进入较大规模城市,低技能劳动力的工资议价能力增强,其雇主的议价能力减弱,因此低技能劳动力能获得更有利于自身的工资议价结果;高技能劳动力的工资议价能力虽然也有增强,但其雇主的议价能力增强更多,因此高技能劳动力在总体上会面临不利于自身的工资议价结果。文章从城市规模与工资议价能力的关系角度对城市规模工资溢价文献做出了补充。 The authors study the relationship between city size and the bargaining power of labor and capital.Using the floating population survey data in 2017 and the urban statistical yearbook,we calculated the bargaining power of each labor force in each city by using the SFA-two-tier boundary method,and explored the relationship between city size and bargaining power by regression and matching methods.The results show that,from small cities to large cities,the bargaining power of low skilled labor force is enhanced,while that of their employers is weakened.Therefore,the low skilled labor force can obtain a beneficial wage bargaining result.However,although the bargaining power of highly skilled labor force has also been enhanced,the bargaining power of their employers has been enhanced more,therefore the highly skilled labor force generally faces the adverse wage bargaining result(but not significant).This study complements the literature on wage premium of city size from the perspective of the relationship between city size and wage bargaining power.
