陈璘是明朝晚期著名将领,在清朝官修《明史》中,修撰者通过曲解、虚构、夸大、断章取义等手法篡改史料,把陈璘塑造成“贪黩将军”。经考证,这四个案件均无确凿证据,属于恶意歪曲史实,陈璘的官操实际并无重大缺失,不存在严重贪贿问题。陈璘的功名靠血战并非靠贪贿成就。

CHEN Lin was a famous general in the late Ming dynasty.But in The History of Ming Dynasty compiled by the official of Qing dynasty,he was molded into a“greedy general”because the compilers tempered with historical materials tempering through misinterpreting,fabricating,exaggerating and taking out of context.According to the research,there is no conclusive evidence in the four cases,which belong to malicious distortion of historical facts.CHEN Lin had no serious problem of bribery,and there was no significant lack of his official integrity.CHEN Lin's fame was achieved by fighting,not by bribery.
