A Study of Woolf's Marine Novels

伍尔夫是英国具有海洋情结的典型代表作家之一,“海浪”几乎贯穿了她所有的小说,水是主人公活动场域中不可或缺的元素,小说中关于海洋的书写、海水的意象比比皆是。作为一位女性写作和意识流小说的领军人物,伍尔夫小说因对海洋的精湛书写呈现出迥异于其他海洋小说及传统小说的特点,即瞬间微妙的“海人合一”的心物交感、炉火纯青的海水意象的心灵交感、海浪的升降节律应和人物的思想情感的脉动,从而成功地凸显了传统小说及其他海洋小说鲜少涉足的人的瞬间情绪感知的无常、心物交感与心灵交感的微妙,再现人与自然、人与人、人与死亡和命运之间难以言说而又拨动心弦的情感,体现了伍尔夫诗化的情感学说美学。

Woolf is one of typical writers with a marine complex because the waves go through almost all of Woolf's novels where water or the sea water is an indispensable workshop of the protagonists,and the marine writing or water images can be found here and there.Woolf is a pioneer of woman writings and the stream⁃of⁃consciousness novels.Her marine novels are com⁃pletely different from other marine fictions and traditional novels because of her unusual marine writing,which is of the following characteristics:Emotion perception caused by the interaction between the heart and nature,which is the instant and subtle unity of man and the sea;and emotion perception caused by the sea water images,which is the interaction between people's hearts;the rise and fall of waves acting in harmony with the changing thoughts of the characters in the novels.These characteristics re⁃produce an indescribable emotion between man and nature,man and man,man and death,man and fate,thus proving Woolf's poetic aesthetics of emotion.
