摘要
本文利用新的城市组对面板数据研究了高速铁路网络对中国经济地理的影响。结果表明,高铁提升了城市的市场可达性,促进了沿线城市的人口集聚,并导致了区域空间的分化。利用夜光图数据和Landscan全球动态人口分布地图,我们研究发现,高铁的开通促进了城市的郊区化。
We investigate the effects of high-speed railway(HSR)network on China's economic geography with a new panel of city-pair level data.The results show that HSR enhances the market access of cities and promotes population agglomeration in cities along the route and creates regional disparity.Using the night light map data and Landscan global dynamic population distribution map,we find that the launch of HSR promotes urban suburbanization.
