浅析缅甸罗刹形象的源流

Analysis of the Origin of the Rakshasa Image in Myanmar

源于印度婆罗门教的罗刹作为一种神话形象在南传佛教国家缅甸有较大影响力。当前学界对其研究较少。基于此,通过历史与地理区位相结合的研究方法,从缅甸罗刹的形象、罗刹形象在缅甸的接受状况及本土化3个方面分析与研究,发现缅甸罗刹形象与周边的印度、斯里兰卡和泰国等地联系密切,其流传在环境、文化和政治等方面贴合缅甸文化发展实际与需求而被接受与本土化。

Rakshasa is a mythical image originated from Indian Brahmanism and has a greater influence in Myanmar,a country of Theravada Buddhism.Since there is less research on it,the paper combines the history and geographic location to analyze the image of Rakshasa in Myanmar,its acceptance and the localization in Myanmar.The research found that the image of the Rakshasa in Myanmar is closely related to India,Sri Lanka and Thailand.The spread of the Rakshasa image is geared to the practical needs of Myanmar s cultural development in its environment,culture and politics and then is accepted and localized.
