The exploration of scientificity of literary theory is an extremely important element in the emerging of Chinese early modern literary theory.The historical context of intertwining missions of enlightenment and salvation then interacted with the pursuit of scientificity,which deeply influenced and formed the uniqueness of Chinese early modern literary theory.The indication of the scientificity includes the vernacular-Chinese-centered revolution of common language,systemic forms of academic discourse,new categories,and,especially,the new evolution theory of modern literary ideas.The whole of these components bears scientificity of literary theory and permeates it with profound humanistic values such as enlightenment.With the interdependent relationship between scietificity and humanisticity,the pursuit of scientificity has characteristics of its time and nation,transcends the scientistic dimension in the anglophone world,and provides significant inspirations for later understandings of scietificity of humanities.
