Interpretation on Modern Writers′Letters as A Literary Research Method

现代作家书信的史料价值在于其“直接的史料”性质。有学术价值的作家书信对了解作家的人生经历、生活环境、文学创作等具有不可替代的作用,有时甚至可以改变文学史的叙述。作为学术研究的基础性工作,作家书信考释中会遇到很多看似常见实际上很关紧的学术问题,比如较为繁难的时间考订和收信人考辨往往是判断作家书信文史价值的前提。同时,要格外注意作家书信中的文史细节与现代文学(思想)史之间的关联。

The historical value of modern writers′letters lies in their″direct historical data″nature.Letters with academic value play an irreplaceable role in understanding the writer′s life experience,living environment,and literary creation,and can sometimes even change the narrative of literary history.As the basic work of academic research,there are many seemingly common but academically important problems occurring in the check and interpretation of the writers′letters.For example,the examination and correction of the time and the identification of the recipients are often the prerequisites for judging the value of the writer′s letters.At the same time,special attention should be paid to the relationship between the details of the literature and history in the writer′s letters and the history of modern literature(ideology).
