The Sino-US Trade War in the Post-Pandemic World:Motivation,Trend and Chinese Approach

新冠肺炎疫情暴发对国际关系和国际政治产生了极大影响。“后疫情”时代,中美贸易战对两国的影响逐渐显现,中美贸易规模大幅萎缩。分析中美贸易战发生的原因,既有中美之间的结构性矛盾,也有美国企图通过发动贸易战转嫁内部危机的目的。“后疫情”时代中美贸易战将因全球经济的衰退短暂降温,但中美关系将持续恶化,大国战略竞争进入全要素对抗时代,全球化面临单边主义冲击。应对贸易战,中国需要采取如下措施;发挥工业现代化和人口优势;认清战略劣势,提高思维和决策能力;利用压力,缓解矛盾;积极争取贸易伙伴;重视人才培养,实现教育、科技自主化;重视非洲的战略地位作用等。

COVID-19 has had a great impact on international relations and international politics.In the post-pandemic world,the effect of the Sino-US trade war on the two countries has gradually surfaced,and the trade volume has shrunk sharply.The causes of the trade war are not only structural differences between the two sides,but also an attempt of the US to transfer its internal crisis.In the post-pandemic world,the trade war will temporarily cool down due to the global economic recession,but Sino-US relations will continue to deteriorate,the strategic competition among great powers will enter an era of total factor confrontation,and globalization will be challenged by unilateralism.In responding to the trade war,China needs to give full play to its industrial modernization and demographic advantages;recognize its strategic disadvantages and improve its thinking and decisionmaking capacity;turn pressure into ways of mitigating conflicts;actively seek out trading partners;emphasize human resource development and achieve educational,scientific and technological autonomy;and emphasize the strategic role of Africa.
