Base on the problem of land resources scarcity in the process of urbanization,this paper expounds the concept,function and details of GIS,analyzes the concrete application in land resource management,and points out that GIS breaks the traditional way of obtaining,storing and analyzing geographic information,and provides accurate data for domestic land resource planning.
