In order to study the effect of Acanthopanax senticosus extract on growth performance, slaughter performance and economic benefit of broilers. In the experiment,40021 day old white feathered broilers with similar body weight were randomly divided into 4 groups,10 replicates in each group and 10 in each replicates. The results showed that:(1)The average feed intake of groups 2,3 and 4 was higher than that of group 1(P>0.05),the average daily gain of groups 3 and 4 was 11.8%and 10.3%higher than that of group 1(P<0.05),and the ratio of feed to gain of groups 3 and 4 was decreased by 16.7%and 15.0%respectively(P<0.05).(2)The slaughter rate, full eviscerated rate and half eviscerated rate of groups 2,3 and 4 were higher than those of group 1(P>0.05),the breast muscle rate and leg muscle rate of group 3 and group 4 were increased by 15.3%,14.0%,21.9%and 15.1%respectively compared with group 1.(3)The economic benefits of each broiler in group 3 and group 4 was increased by 11.6%and 10.6%respectively compared with group 1.In conclusion, the addition of Acanthopanax senticosus extract at different levels could improve the growth performance, slaughter performance and economic benefit of white feather broiler,and2.0%was suitable.
