Different Writing:Sichuan Writers'Breakthrough in and Establishment of Left-wing Literature

20世纪30年代,四川作家文学创作实绩突破了左翼文学的诸多局限:突破题材局限,写自己熟悉的生活和人物;突破阶级局限,反映多元复杂的社会矛盾;突破性格局限,着力描摹浑然鲜活的人性,着力反映四川社会特殊的地缘政治和经济状况,全面描写四川底层的社会文化生态和人物命运,立体呈现人性的真实和人物的性格,他们的文学实绩丰富和拓展了左翼文学的内涵和外延,扩展了中国现代文学疆域,促成了对中国左翼文学的构建。

In 1930 s, Sichuan writers broke through various limitations on left-wing literary creation: They wrote familiar life and people without theme limitation;reflected diversified and complex social contradictions without class limitation;and focused on depicting lively human nature and reflecting special geopolitical and economic conditions in Sichuan society, comprehensively described sociocultural ecology and each character’s destiny at the bottom of society in Sichuan, and shown true human nature and personal character in a three-dimensional manner, without personality limitation. They have actually achieved results in literature, enriching and developing the connotation and denotation of left-wing literature, expanding the scope of modern Chinese literature, and completing the establishment of Chinese left-wing literature.
