Comparative Study of Tourism Undergraduates’Career Choice Criteria and Perceptions of Tourism Employment-From the Perspective of Part-time Tour Guide Students

旅游专业学生旅游行业内就业率偏低一直是困扰旅游教育界、旅游业界的一大突出难题,而兼职导游学生群体是其中数量可观、优质的人才储备.基于旅游专业学生择业标准及旅游业就业感知之间的比较发现:对工作的稳定性、晋升机会、工作量的合理性等认知偏差较大,亟须关注;对专业认可度偏低,缺少专业自信,亟须提升;对旅游企业文化氛围、技能提升等认可度较高,可继续强化.

In the tourism industry,the low employment rate of tourism majors has always been the major problem that perplexes the tourism education and tourism industry.The considerable number of part-time tour guide students is the high-quality talent pool of the industry.This paper has made a comparative study between the tourism majors’career choice criteria and perception of tourism employment.It is discovered that,firstly,serious biases exist in their cognition of job stability,promotion opportunities and rationality of workload,which need to be noticed;their professional recognition degree is low and their professional confidence is insufficient,which need to be improved;they attach more importance to cultural atmosphere and skill improvement of tourism enterprises,which can be further strengthened.
