跨文化视角下的英汉词汇空缺归因研究

Research on English and Chinese Lexical Vacancy Attribution from a Cross-cultural Perspective

词汇是语言中最活跃的要素,也是语言最基本的组成部分,词汇系统折射出社会特点和文化特征。英汉语的词汇内涵丰富,同时也存在诸多差别,形成词汇空缺。从语义层面,运用对比分析法揭示英汉词汇的差异;从地理、历史、宗教、风俗习惯、社会价值观方面,分析词汇差异产生的原因;最后,从跨文化交际的角度对解决词汇空缺现象提出建议,以期提高语言学习者的跨文化意识,减少跨文化交际中的理解障碍。

Vocabulary is the most active element in language and the most basic component of language.Vocabulary system fully reflects social and cultural characteristics.There are many differences between English and Chinese,which lead to lexical gaps.From the semantic level,this paper presents a comparative analysis of the differences between English and Chinese vocabulary,and analyzes the causes of the differences from the aspects of geography,history,religion,customs and social values.Finally,suggestions are put forward from the perspective of cross-cultural communication to address vocabulary vacancy,so as to improve language learners'cross-cultural awareness and reduce cross-cultural understanding barriers.
