Following"three-character"diplomatic principle to create a fresh image of China

外交是政治的外延,事关国家核心利益,起着“牵一发而动全身”的重要作用。回顾1949年以来我国的外交工作,正可谓“芝麻开花节节高”,成绩斐然。这些成就的取得,得益于我党历代领导人都能从“准”“活”“实”三方面入手,做到准确把握世情、国情、民情,并注重做到策略活、思路活、做法活,最终达到谋事求实、做事要实、成事重实的目标追求。这是我国外交工作的鲜明特点,也是做好外交工作的内在规律。

As the extension of politics,diplomacy is related to a nation′s core interest and thus is of vital importance.The steady development of China′s diplomacy since the founding of new China proves to be a success with great achievements,thanks to the fact that the successive leaders of our party have been carrying out diplomatic policies which can be summarized as the"three-character principle"accuracy,flexibility and practicability.Following this principle,the leaders properly analyse the conditions of the world,the nation as well as the people,and do their best to create a combination of the strategy,and practice in a flexible way,so as to achieve the goal of taking the reality into account,working with practical methods and accomplishing the most in accordance with the situation.These distinctive features of our party′s diplomacy work institutes the underlying principles of doing a good job in diplomatic affairs.
