Teaching evaluation is an indispensable part of school education.The traditional teaching evaluation pays more attention to the result than the process,which will produce many negative effects.Portfolio assessment is a new evaluation method formed and developed since the reform of teaching evaluation.Using portfolio evaluation method can cultivate students'good listening and speaking habits.This paper discusses how to effectively use portfolio assessment in English listening and speaking teaching,so as to promote the development of students'English listening and speaking ability.
