ESP Teaching Design Based on Constructivism——Take industrial design English as an example

随着对外开放程度逐渐加深,对通晓专业知识和英语的复合型人才需求不断增加,专门用途英语教学也得到重视。将建构主义理论应用于教学领域由来已久,其强调以学生为中心,及情境设置,对专门用途英语的教学设计,具有指导意义。在建构主义的基础上,加侬与柯蕾提出的建构主义学习设计六大元素以及设计模版,对于专门用途英语教学设计,可操作性较强,十分实用。

With the deepening of opening up, the demand for interdisciplinary talents who are familiar with professional knowledge and English is increasing, and ESP teaching has also been paid attention to. Constructivism has been applied to the teaching field for a long time. It emphasizes student-centered and situational setting, which has guiding significance for ESP teaching design. On the basis of constructivism, the six elements of constructivism learning design and the design template proposed by Garnon and Colley are operable and practical for ESP teaching design.
