A Century Exploration into the Nature of Education by the Communist Party of China

教育性质问题是教育的一个基本理论问题,也是教育实践的一个基本问题。中国共产党成立一百年来,高度重视教育性质问题,在不同的历史时期对教育性质有不同的认识,呈现出一种明显的阶段性和历史的继承性。一百年来,党对教育性质的认识不断发展与丰富,构成了党的教育理论的重要组成部分,是对马克思主义经典作家有关教育性质的继承和创新,反映了中国社会革命、建设和改革开放的伟大实践需求,是对马克思主义教育性质理论的中国化和时代化。一百年来,人民性在党的教育性质认识中占据核心位置,从教育要唤醒工农,到教育要向工农开门,再到办人民满意的教育和以人民为中心发展教育,人民性始终构成党的教育事业的价值轴心,坚如磐石。党在不同时期对教育的其他性质的论述,最终是为了充分实现教育的人民性。这是党的教育事业,也是新时代中国特色社会主义教育事业的根本性质。

The nature of education is not only a basic theoretical problem of education,but also a basic problem of educational practice.Over the past century,the Communist Party of China(CPC)has attached great importance to the nature of education,and proposed different arguments in different historical phases,reflecting the obvious periodical feature and certain historical succession.Over the past 100 years,the Party’s understanding of the nature of education has been developing and enriching,which constitutes an important part of the Party’s educational theory.It is the inheritance and innovation of the Marxist classic writers about the nature of education,reflecting the great practical requirements of China’s social revolution,construction,reform and opening up,and it is the sinicization and modernization of the Marxist theory of the nature of education.Over the past 100 years,the people-orientation has occupied the core position in the Party’s understanding of the nature of education,from enlightening people in the revolution period,opening the education gate to the people after the birth of New China,to developing people-satisfied education and currently people-centered education.It is concluded that people-orientation has always constituted the core value and milestone of the CPC’s education.The Party’s exposition of other nature of education in different periods is ultimately to fully realize the people-orientation education.It is not only the Party’s educational cause,but also the fundamental nature of the socialist educational cause with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
