The philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)is different from the philosophy of atomic materialism embodied in modern medicine.Its essence is relation philosophy based on the meta-system.The content includes the Qi theory as the relation ontology and both the Yin-Yang theory of the Wu-Xing theory as the relation epistemology.Based on this kind of relation philosophy,TCM has created a complete set of life system regulation theory.The relation is embodied as functional attributes in the spatial dimension,and as a process stage in the time dimension.Correspondingly,in human body system,it has produced the viscera-state doctrine based on the human body's Qi-transformation relation to describe the activity of human body.Its clinical application has produced a diagnosis and treatment model that takes grasping the patient's overall Qi-transformation relation as the main line of diagnosis and the relation adjustment as the treatment purpose.Relation philosophy runs through the entire basic theoretical system of TCM,it can be said to be the core of TCM basic theories.The promotion and enrichment of relation philosophy will accelerate TCM renaissance.
