Objective To explore the application effect of health education and nursing model in surgical treatment of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia and diabetes. Methods A total of 70 patients admitted from September 2017 to September 2019 in the hospital were selected and divided into 35 patients in the experimental group and 35 patients in the control group according to the difference of time,as the objects of this observation study. Results The patients in the experimental group were better than those in the control group in the monitoring of blood glucose before and 2 h after the meal, the difference was statistically significant(t=4.036,9.816,P<0.05);the incidence of complications in the experimental group was 2.86%,the control group of incidences of complications was 22.85%,the difference was statistically significant(χ^2=6.247,P<0.05).The satisfaction of the patients in the experimental group to this care was 97.14%,which was significantly higher than the satisfaction of the patients in the control group, which was 77.14%,the difference was statistically significant(χ^2=5.081,P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of health education and nursing mode for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia and diabetes during surgical treatment can significantly improve the patient's blood glucose, significantly reduce the occurrence of complications, and improve nursing satisfaction.
